A Bass Guitarist: The backbone of a band’s rhythm

There used to be a common question in our mind what does Bass Guitarist role in playing music. Often, popular rock bands use the bass guitarist as a member of the rhythm section, which has the role of providing a floor for the harmony sequence, and for setting the proper beat or rhythm.
Bass guitarist is often one of the most over-looked instruments in a musical group. Many audience members have no idea what a bass even is. Despite this fact, bass is probably the most critical instrument in a group. It is rare to find a performing band without a bass guitarist. As a budding bassist, you should be happy to know there is always a high demand for bassists. Nearly all bass players are underrated and overlooked since the focal point is usually the lead singer or the guitarist. They play special role in making rock music. If the bassist is not in tune, the band is dead. A single mistake in playing bass would be heard all over the room.
In many cases, the bassist in a rock band can be forgotten by fans or shunned by the other members, especially if bass is the only instrument they regularly play. This doesn't necessarily have to be the case. The bass guitarist can easily be the most talented member in the band, but often the trick is being noticed.
In simplest form, the job of a bass guitarist is to tie together the rhythm section with the more melodic instruments. The drums and the guitar speak different languages, and they need a musical interpreter. While still being able to create melody, the bass is generally used to mirror the drums rhythmically. Bass guitarists such as these are able to give their music richness otherwise unachievable. When they perform the way he or she should, everyone else in the band will be able to play their instruments smoothly and accurately. On the other hand, if a bass guitarist makes a mistake by hitting the wrong chord or note, it could throw off the entire band’s rhythm, leading to a disastrous show of epic proportions.
