ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:

JEANNIE HOPPER is a beloved New York City DJ who hosts the Liquid Sound Lounge show Saturday nights on WBAI-99.5 from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. In addition to running the Liquid Sound Lounge records Jeannie rocks dance floors across NYC, has a monthly residency in London, and just returned from gigs in Malaysia and Serbia.
CHI CHI VALENTI (MC) has participated in alternative NY nightlife for over two decades, most notably as a producer of the long-running club weekles Jackie 60 and Click + Drag and as owner/impresario of the legendary venue MOTHER .) Her Mistress of Ceremonies duties at spectacles worldwide have included The Rubber Ball (London), The Exotic Erotic Ball, The Vampyre's Ball (New Orleans) and the recent Black & Blue Ball in New York.
PENNY ARCADE is simply NYC's premier performance artist with an international reputation for hard-hitting comedic social satire. Look up "Downtown Diva" in the dictionary and you'll find her picture. She has collaborated with many greats of American experimental theatre including John Vaccaro, Jack Smith, Jackie Curtis, Charles Ludlam, H.M.Koutoukas and Tom O'Horgan.. Her work has been performed all over the world, and shows like "Bad Reputation," "Bitch!Dyke!Faghag!Whore!" have helped to make her an international superstar.
WORLD FAMOUS BOB is a performance artist/stripper who combines the old school glamour of classic American Burlesque with new school moves and an amazing sense of humor. She's glamorous, erotic, beautiful and charming.
ST. EVE: L. Gabrielle Penabaz is the singer/songwriter/founder of St. Eve. Gabrielle has performed around the world in improbable costumes to unsuspecting audiences of all sizes. Her public passions include video creation and excellent company. www.sainteve.net or www.st-eve.net
DELPHINIA integrates healing and performance into thematic dances that strike an emotional chord. Known as eclectic terpsichoreans, Delphinia dancers create community rituals that celebrate feminine artistry and power.
HENRY FAULKNER is a social critic/comic in the tradition of Lenny Bruce, Mort Sahl and Bill Hicks. He's a working stand up comic who has headlined at clubs across the nation. His wicked spins on current events are a comedy genre of their own -- "rock and roll comedy"...
JAMES GODWIN: "Performance Shaman", and stand up comic fronts the eclectic puppet troupe "The Elementals" who together with the Performance Rock and Roll/Jazz band "Coo Coo Handler" perform the Rock and Roll Puppet Musical "Uncle Jimmy's Dirty Basement". Featured at last year's Toyota Comedy Festival and also produced at Joe's Pub at the Public Theatre. Look for a 10-week run this fall at the Bowery Poetry Club. The Elementals have numerous TV and film credits including Walt Disney and Jim Henson.
ROB PARAVONIAN: With songs that have been performed on t.v. and have hit #1 on nationally syndicated comedy radio shows, Rob has earned the praise of audiences and critics alike. A New York magazine described Rob as "a deranged bastard child of Tom Lehrer and Joan Baez," while Emmy-winning writer for The Daily Show Chris Regan calls Rob "an awfully smart guy who writes really funny songs."
